Who we are and what we do
What we need
In order to register on a food hygiene course or e-learning course we will require you to provide contact details of the delegate(s) and of the person who is making the course booking. The delegate(s) date of birth will also be required as part of the process as this is a requirement of the training award provider Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance Limited.
Why we need it
The information is required in order to process your application and is kept on a database. This information enables us or the awarding body Highfield to contact you and to provide a record of who is attending or booking the training.
The consequence of not providing the required information means the application will not be processed.
What we do with it
The information that you provide will be held by the Council and will be accessed by authorised Council employees. The information will also be shared with Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance who is the examining body for the course. Highfield is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office as a Data Controller. Its registration number is Z1586208
We may also pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so, this includes exchanging information with other government departments for legal reasons.
How long we keep it
Your personal data will be removed from our database, in line with our retention policy 6 years after you completed the course.
