Elmbridge Borough Council and Central Surrey Voluntary Action are working in partnership for the 2020 Voluntary Sector Forum
Voluntary and community organisations from across Elmbridge are invited to attend the upcoming Voluntary Sector Forum taking place at the Civic Centre, Esher, KT10 9SD on 31 March 2020 starting at 1pm.
Following on from the success of previous years, the Forum will be opened by the Mayor of Elmbridge, Cllr Mary Sheldon, and start with an update on the Community Support Services strategy. This will be followed by inspiring presentations surrounding healthcare, volunteering and social prescribing, moving onto the outline of some new and exciting initiatives. Charities, community and voluntary sector groups will have the opportunity to attend one to one funding advice sessions with Central Surrey Voluntary Action, Community Foundation for Surrey, Walton Charity and Elmbridge Borough Council.
Organisations will also have the chance to learn more about the Elmbridge Community Lottery and how it can assist with fundraising for their organisation.
Councillor Mrs Tannia Shipley, the Portfolio Holder for Social Affairs, said: “As funding to the voluntary, community and faith sector becomes harder to access, the Forum provides an excellent opportunity for local charities to ask questions directly to grant-funding organisations. The event is also a chance to catch up and network with voluntary sector colleagues that support Elmbridge so well”.
If you are interested in attending or would like to book your place onto a one to one advice session, please call the Events and Support Officer on 01372 474 556 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your attendance.
