Businesses from across Elmbridge had the chance to hear the ten critical actions they can take now to ensure businesses don’t just survive, but will thrive as they come through this uncertain time.
The virtual webinar was the latest in a series of business events and support from Elmbridge Borough Council designed to help businesses through the current pandemic.
Business from start-ups to retailers to small and growing businesses heard from Sanjiv Dodhia, Action Coach with over 30 years’ experience in working with businesses of all sizes, sectors and stages of development.
Councillor Christine Elmer, Portfolio Holder for Corporate and Community Development at Elmbridge Borough Council said “The businesses attending the webinar took away some practical help and advice to support them during this time – from adapting their offers, marketing, cashflow, staff and mindset, Sanjiv delivered some excellent content for our local businesses.
“The webinar was just one part of our wider support package as we do all we can to support our high streets and businesses. The council has now supported over 1,400 businesses with £24 million in direct government grants, helped business on our high streets to trade online during shutdown with our digital grants, offered support to help retailers adapt to social distancing measures and has connected our local firms to all available support.
“From our start-up grants, to our work with the local business groups on the safe reopening of our town and village centres we will do all we can to back our businesses and help them come through the current economic uncertainty.”
