Elmbridge looks to the future

Elmbridge residents and businesses are invited to attend the conclusion of the Your Voice Matters series of public meetings - our annual public meeting on Wednesday 16 January at the Civic Centre in Esher.

The event will look ahead to 2019/20 and beyond, outlining the future vision for public services in Elmbridge. Starting at 6pm there will be refreshments and an informal service showcase. Residents will be able to engage with Council and partner stalls, with officers on hand to discuss local issues. Partner agencies in attendance will include Surrey Police, Surrey County Council Local Committee and Joint Waste Solutions.

From 7pm the Leader of the Council will deliver a presentation on the future development of public services in the Borough. This will include information about the closer partnership working between Elmbridge Borough Council and other public bodies and community organisations. Following the presentation residents can put their questions to the Leader and Cabinet Members. The event will finish by 9pm.

Councillor Tim Oliver, Leader of Elmbridge Borough Council, encourages residents to explore the future of public services in Elmbridge: “The Council has continued to work in the interests of residents throughout 2018/19, successfully dealing with a number of challenges while keeping its focus on our long-term vision for the Borough. I hope that residents will join us in discussing the future of services in Elmbridge and how the public sector will work together to ensure that they are delivered as efficiently as possible.”

The event will take place on 16 January 2019 at Elmbridge Civic Centre, High Street, Esher, KT10 9SD.
