Elmbridge Museum learning services
Elmbridge Museum offers a range of learning opportunities. From discovery boxes for loan to fully tailor-made sessions to illustrate and supplement the National Curriculum and led by the Learning Officer, there is a range of services for schools and community groups.

- Forest school sessions offer learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment. Sessions link closely with the National Curriculum. Popular activities include building bug hotels and bug hunting, river studies, pond dipping, den building, natural art and practical work such as pine or balsam pulling.
- Free outdoor sessions for the early years are delivered by a qualified Forest School Leader to enhance coordination and control, moving and handling, exploring and using media and materials, playing and exploring, understanding and developing empathy for the local environment.

Sports in schools
Surrey School Games
The Surrey School Games are a year round calendar of competitions and events for primary, secondary and special schools across Surrey, in which over 5,500 young people from 200 schools participate. For more information on the Surrey School Games visit the Active Surrey website.

We have our very own smoothie bike to encourage school children to combine physical activity with healthy eating and drinking. The smoothie bike is a mountain bike with the addition of a blender attachment which allows the rider to make a smoothie whilst stationary on the bike.
