Leisure Live 2013

Leisure Live will be back at Brooklands Community Park, Weybridge to celebrate the Prudential Ride London Cycle Race.Scootathon Leisure Live 2012

Visitors will be treated to a wide range of cycling, sporting and cultural activities. There will be something to do for everyone.

Cycling activities will include BMX and Trials displays, bike maintenance advice, adapted bikes for various disabilities and bikeability training.

Mercedes Benz World will have six of their new electric bikes for you to have a go on the go-cart track. British Cycling will be bringing mountain bikes and coach's to help you get the most out of riding and improve your skills.

Rachel Morris Paralympian Cycling Gold Medallist from Beijing, and Bronze Medallist in London will be opening event with Councillor Peter Harman and be on hand to give encouragement to everyone including the Wheels for All cycle team.

You will be invited to have a go at many sports like roller skiing, rowing and BMF bootcamp.

Children will have lots to do too with arts, crafts, games, bouncy castle, face painting and competitions. Make puppets with the Elmbridge Museum team and have fun with the Shout playworkers.

The Scooterthon, with races for the Under 4's, 5-6 years, 7-8 years and 9-10's - will doubtless be as popular as ever, register at the information point at the entrance, or at the Scooterthon registration desk located near the 'race track'. The scooterthon races start at 2pm.

We have some fabulous raffle prices - the top prize being 8 man hours from Burleys, who keep the borough tidy and blooming for Elmbridge Council. Buy your raffle ticket from Riding for the Disabled to enter to win.

  • Watch BMX demonstrations, trials biking and get tips on how to fix your bike
  • Enjoy Live music and entertainment with 'the (hilarious) history of cycling in 15 minutes
  • Arts and crafts activities for children
  • Have fun playing games and have your face painted with the Shout! play workers.
  • Take part in a mountain bike enduro and bikeability training.
  • Have fun on the bouncy castle and climb spider mountain
  • Scootathon events for 4 to 11 year olds: race for fun and medals (bring your scooter)
  • Taste the delicious cakes and enjoy a cuppa made by Community Centres
  • Use pedal power on the Smoothie bike to make your own refreshing drink
  • Raffle and Prize draw in aid of Sam Beare Hospice and Riding for the Disabled
  • Refreshments, food and ice cream
