From 13 January 2018 new rules came into effect banning companies from charging any fees on card payments; this also applies to Local Authorities and other government agencies such as HMRC. As a result, the Council would have to pay for the cost of credit cards so from this date we no longer accept credit cards for the payment of council tax and business rates.
You can pay your business rates by debit card.
You will need to provide your business rates account number. Your 8 digit account number will begin with a "6" and can be found at the top of your bill.
Alternative ways to pay
Set up a direct debit and your business rates instalments will be collected automatically on the 1st of the month.
Please register/log into My Account and complete the form called Business rates - request to pay by Direct Debit.

You can call our 24 hour payment line and make your payment by credit* or debit card.
