IMPACT - Elmbridge Youth Forum

Young people from across Elmbridge were invited to take part in the first youth forum meeting for the 2006 school year on Thursday 28 September at Molesey Youth Cub, Ray Road, West Molesey. We reviewed what the forum had achieved so far, discussed a new name and for the group, ideas for possible Youth Café, and information about the |Youth Opportunity Fund, and Youth Capital Fund.
IMPACT - Elmbridge Youth Forum Logo
Over the following year the group developed the name into IMPACT, Action by Young People. Some of the young people sketched ideas for a logo which was then sent off to a designer. As a group they voted for designs choosing the one on this page. The group wanted a logo to reflect that they wanted to make a difference to Elmbridge and their local communities.

Following the success of the youth conference in October 2007, organised by Elmbridge Borough Council, young people, it was requested more regular forums for them to have their say and make a difference. IMPACT has now been established which will be run by young people for young people. IMPACT is open to any young person in the Borough between the age of 12-18 year old.

IMPACT have three main focuses this year:

We would like to encourage all youth clubs, secondary schools and colleges in Elmbridge to take part in IMPACT and give young people the opportunity to have their say in improving their Borough.
