Note : from 1 October 2004, changes to the Disability Discrimination Act mean service providers should have removed barriers preventing disabled people accessing their services. This includes shops, banks, hotels, theatres, restaurants and places of worship.

Elmbridge has an active disability group formed from volunteers who meet on a regular basis which represents the interests of disabled people throughout the Borough.

There are |two easy access trails on the Elmbridge Commons, provided to enable people of all abilities to enjoy our countryside sites. They are ideal if you are a wheelchair user, if you have difficulty walking long distances on uneven ground, or if you are just out for a gentle stroll in pleasant surroundings.
