Elmbridge Borough Council is fully committed to benefit fraud prevention, and aims to be one of the most successful councils in the South East in the detection, investigation and sanctioning of offenders.

There are many family benefits and allowances available to those in need. Some that are relevant are listed below, however, please note this list is not exhaustive:

  A tax-free monthly payment to anyone bringing up a child or young person.
  
  
• |Council Tax Reductions for Disabled People
  If a disabled person is resident in your home you may be able to reduce your council tax.
  
  
• |Housing and Council Tax benefits

• |Incapacity and Severe Disability Benefits
  What you may be entitled to.
  
  
• |Income Support
  An income-related benefit for people aged 16 to 60 who are on a low income.
