Fancy saving the world while brushing your teeth?turn off the tap

If you leave the tap on, you waste 9 litres of water per minute. We don't have the toilet flushing all the time we sit on it. Why leave the tap on?

On average each person uses 160 litres of water every day. This is 50% more than the average person used 25 years ago.

Water is a precious resource, particularly in the South of England where we have a more dense population. Despite the common belief that we live in a very wet region, the South East receives less rainfall than Rome, Istanbul and Dallas. We are increasingly being asked to reduce our water consumption to compensate for this. Remember the hose pipe bans and the drought orders of summer 2006?
