Customer Care Services

What if I am blind or having problems with my eyesight?

Please contact us and tell us how we can help. We may be able to offer some of our documents in large print or we can talk through your bill and other literature with you. Our website pages are also compatible with |Browsealoud, an online screen reader to help the visually impaired. This is software which reads the text on the screen and speaks those words to you.

What if I have trouble reading, writing or speaking English?

We can arrange to translate our documents. If you visit or phone us, we will try to arrange for someone to be available who can speak your language.

What if I cannot leave my house?

We will try to provide a home visit to help with council tax matters if you cannot leave your house. This service is necessarily very limited and whether we can call will depend on your needs. We will make appointments usually within 5 working days. (We cannot collect money.)

What if I have other special requirements?

Please tell us if there is anything we can do to help you. Although our resources are very limited, we will try to give help and advice in a way that is best for you.
