How to View Responses to Consultations Using Our Online Consultation Portal
A Step-by Step Guide
In the past, it has taken some time to view people's responses, as the planning policy team would produce a detailed analysis report some months later. However, with the introduction of our new consultation portal, it is now possible for you to view all the responses online whenever you want.
This step-by-step guide to allow you to do this: (You may wish to print this page out to guide you through while you are on the portal)
1. Click on the |online consultation portal
2. Scroll down to view the list of consultation events:
Click the relevant consultation document e.g. LDF Core Strategy Preferred Approach
3.Click on the blue banner that says: Read document and view comment on document
4. You will now be able to view the whole document. The first page is visible and has a tab at the top, which says view comments (with a number in bracket). The top tab relates to what people think of the whole document and how many representations there are to a particular section.
5. If you click on the tab view comments- you will see a list of summary responses with a PDF symbol at the right hand side. This PDF summarises the nature of the response. A smaller PDF is sometimes attached below and this is where a respondent has written in to us and we have uploaded it. If you click on this PDF you will be able to read the original representation in its entirety.
6. If you are particularly interested in a certain policy, you can scroll down the content list on the left hand side and use the plus button to extend the chapter section and find the policy you want.
Section 5: Contains CPA 1-5
Section 6: Contains CPA 6-18
Section 7: Contains CPA 19-30
Click on the policy and a page will open to the right with the document content, scroll down to find the green policy box and again you will find a tab that says view comments. Once you have clicked the tab you can view the responses at your leisure.
Important Note:
All web representations have been inputted directly by the respondent.
E-mails have been copied and pasted into the relevant section.
We have inputted summaries for lengthy letters in order to make it easy to analyse and view. All of these representations have been uploaded in their original form as PDF documents. Therefore you can view the full representation.
