What was the consultation all about?
The preferred options were derived from the responses to the |Issues and Options consultation, the Initial Sustainability Appraisal Report and issues emerging from the spatial portrait and background studies. We consulted on the Preferred Options between 26 June 2006 and 7 August 2006.
How can you view the document and the results?
To view copies of the Preferred Options Paper and supporting documents please click on the links below. These documents identify the Preferred Options for the spatial planning issues faced by Elmbridge. The Options are grouped under four sustainability headings "Sustainable Development", "Social Progress", "Environmental Protection" and "Economic Diversity and Development". For each Preferred Option, a strategy is suggested along with an explanation of the approach proposed.

The Preferred Options Paper was also accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal/ Strategic Environmental Assessment (SA/SEA) Report which set out the predicted sustainability implications of each of the Preferred Options.
