Core Strategy Preferred Approach and Final Options

What was the consultation all about?

Between 26 June and 14 August 2009 individuals and organisations were invited to submit their comments on the Elmbridge Core Strategy Preferred Approach and Final Options.

The consultation document took account of views already expressed through previous consultation and information gathered through various studies undertaken which form our |evidence base. It put forward the Council's preferred approach for dealing with future development in the Borough to 2026.

Some of the questions that were addressed were:

  • How much new housing has to be built?
  • Where will it be provided?
  • Are we going to continue to protect the Green Belt?
  • How are we going to make sure that the new development is well designed and complements the local area?

How can you view the document and the results?
