Retail Study - June 2006

The Town Planning Division commissioned Roger Tym & Partners to undertake a Retail Study on behalf of Elmbridge Borough Council.

The Study provides a comprehensive health check of the town and village centres in Elmbridge, providing a measurement of their vitality and viability. It provides recommendations for the boundaries of each of the town centres together with any development opportunities and includes an assessment of the internal and external hierarchy between these centres and those outside the Borough identifying their roles and options for their future potential. Finally, the report outlines recommendations for future planning policy.

The Report has not been adopted or endorsed by the Council. The Report contains the findings and recommendations of Roger Tym and Partners. However, the study will inform Council policy, providing an evidence base for the preparation of the Council's Local Development Framework.
