|New Application Forms
On 1 October 2009 two new types of application were introduced.

|Householder Appeal Service
The Planning Inspectorate has launched a new Householder Appeal Service as from 6 April 2009.

Changes to Permitted Development
On 1 October 2008 a new Permitted Development Order came into force. This amendment changes the forms of development, which can be undertaken by Householders without express Planning Permission from the Council. Details of the type and extent of work that can be carried out without planning permission can be found on the |Planning Portal.

|Climate Neutral Development Checklist
The Council has introduced a checklist of climate neutral measures that should now be incorporated into 'major' planning applications for new development.
