We invite you to get together this summer to celebrate being active with a great choice of leisure and cultural activities to get your family moving, stay healthy and entertained.

July

From Tuesday 20 June to Thursday 6 July  a series of free exercise sessions at your local outdoor gyms:   

Kick off summer with the right exercise routine to revitalise your energy levels. Free personalised session for all ages and abilities with qualified friendly instructor

  • Tuesday 20 June –  Molesey Hurst Recreation Ground Outdoor Gym, Dunstall Way, KT8 1PD – 11am to 12pm.

  • Thursday 29 June – Coronation Recreation outdoor gym Ground, Molesey Road, Walton-on-Thames KT12 4RG – 1.30pm to 2.30pm

Wednesday 12 July - Elmbridge Youth Dance Showcase, Rose Theatre, 24 – 26 High Street, Kingston Upon Thames KT1 1HL – 7.30pm.
Elmbridge Dance 2017 will feature an exhilarating mix of styles from tap to streetdance, and ballet to contemporary - with an added sprinkle of musical theatre. The evening showcases the wealth of talent in schools - both dance and mainstream - across Elmbridge. Suitable for 7+. For further information and to book, visit the Rose Theatre website.

Friday 14 July, Toddler Time in The Wild drop in session - Chequers Pond, West End Lane. Nearest postcode KT10 8LF - 11 am to 2.30 pm. Free.
Mix of activities including pond dipping, bug hunting, feeding the ducks, spotter sheets and arts and crafts. Bring a picnic if the weather is nice!

Sunday 16 July - Weybridge Cricket Club, The Cricket Green, Princes Road, Weybridge KT13 9BY.
Don’t misss the visit from Surrey County Cricket Team, for a one-off match against the club. All spectators are welcome. More information on the Weybridge Cricket Club website.

Wednesday 19 July – Elmbridge Moving Art Exhibit Opening, Riverhouse Arts Centre, Robert Phillips Gallery.
Showcasing stunning works from local artists. View the exhibit before it starts touring in the Borough from 14 August.

Saturday 22 July – Elmbridge Family Fun: Digging up the past – Hersham Village Hall, Queens Road, KT12 5LT – 2pm to 4.30pm. £1.50 per child.
Become an archaeologist, learn about what has been discovered in your local area with object handling, a mini-dig and more.

Thursday 27 July and 24 August – free Shout Out! stay and play session – Cobham Recreation Ground, Lushington Drive, KT11 2LN – 10.30am to 1pm – drop-in play session.
Lots of play and sports resources, games, arts and crafts + ideas to keep children and their families entertained.

Wednesday 2 AugustPlay Day 2017 - Hurst Park, Sadlers Ride, East Molesey - nearest postcode KT8 1ST). From 11pm to 3pm.
A free family fun day by the river packed with arts and crafts, bouncy castle, energetic sports, junk modelling, face painting, dance, cooling water games and much more to join in the national celebration of the children’s right to play!

 Wednesday 9 August - Hersham Teddy Bears picnic – Vauxmead Field, Faulkners Road, KT12 5JB - from 11am to 2pm. Free. A popular regular summer feature for local families. A great day out spent playing outdoor games, sports and creating giant arts and crafts with the Shout! playworkers. Suitable for all ages. Bring your picnic!

Mini den building. Older siblings welcome.

Monday 14 August and Wednesday 16 August - Survival Skills, West End, Esher - 10 am to 12.30pm

Wednesday 23rd August - Den building - Meet at Copsem Lane car park, Esher at 10am. Nearest postcode KT10 9HQ - 10am – 12noon.
Can you build a den to withstand the elements? Free.

Make the most of the last rays of sunshine and celebrate the arrival of autumn listening to the Cobham Band’s best repertoire. Bring your picnic rugs, garden chairs, children and pets. Sit back and enjoy!

Free walks and cycle rides 
Discover new places in your local area with our friendly team of volunteers on one of the daily summer Healthy Walks. Choose a pace that works for you. Love cycling? then jump on your bike for a spin on local roads and take in the stunning views with the popular Elmbridge Cycles Rides. Exercise referral scheme 
Feel overwhelmed by exercise or need a programme suited to specific health problems? Ease yourself back into an exercise routine with the Elmbridge Exercise referral scheme. Exercise classes in Cobham, Hersham, Molesey and Walton-on-Thames. More information available on exercise referral web page.

Summer holiday camp for children 
Looking for a fun summer holiday camp for your children? If they want to have fun, make new friends, and learn new things every day, the Shout! Holiday Camps is where they want to be.
