Fancy taking up tennis again? An initiative organised by Active Surrey, ‘Take Tennis Lessons’, Elliott Mould Coaching and Elmbridge Borough Council is offering a low-cost 10-week course aimed at bringing more adults back into the game on a regular basis.
This course is part of a drive to get local residents more active, in line with the Council’s Active Elmbridge Physical Activity Strategy and will be delivered by two of the local LTA accredited tennis coaching providers working in partnership with the Council.
Don’t worry if you have not played before or are out of practice – just book the course at either of the locations below and turn up on Thursday 5 October. The cost is just £30 for 10 sessions.
Coronation Recreation Ground – Hersham KT12 4QR - Thursday 5 October-Thursday 7 December - 10:30am – 11:30am

You will get to meet like-minded people and practise your racquet skills in an informal environment. The session content will get even inexperienced players rallying and playing in no time!
Councillor Janet Turner, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, said, “The Council is committed to encouraging residents to become active more often by making full use of the local community facilities available. Tennis courts at Coronation and Cobham Recreation Grounds are great locations to practise your tennis skills. This new Over 50s Tennis Course is ideal for those wishing to benefit from structured sessions but also want to enjoy the social side of the game”.
