On Tuesday 4 July we are holding an open day at the Cobham Centre for the Community, Oakdene Road, Cobham, KT11 2LY, from 10am to 1.30pm. There will be a range of activities that visitors can take part in. We have a Tapping Session, an iPad taster where you can book onto one of our courses and we have a farm visiting which will entertain visitors throughout the morning.
The Mayor of Elmbridge will be joining us at 11am and will be launching the recently refurbished Independent Living Centre which sells over 50 items of equipment to support people to remain independent in their homes as well as providing a comprehensive range of information about local services. Officers from the Relief Care team will also be there to answer any questions you may have if you care for someone with memory loss and to tell you about the new day care group that is starting in the Centre.
Councillor Ruth Lyon, Portfolio Holder for Social Affairs said: “I am very much looking forward to attending the Open Day. If you have not visited the Centre before, this is a great opportunity to come along and find out more.”
Complimentary tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes will be available throughout the day. If you would like to stay for lunch you can enjoy a three course lunch for £3.90, (please call the Centre before 11.30am on the day to book). You can also pick up a programme of events and see all the activities we have to offer at the Cobham Centre.
We look forward to seeing you there. For further details please tel: 01932 596031 or email: email@example.com.
