Shout! Keeps Elmbridge Children Entertained During Easter
The Easter school holiday is just around the corner and if you are still looking for activities to keep your children busy and entertained, Shout! may just have the solution. There are some spaces left on courses that might be of interest to your children.
The Ready, Set, Shout! Sports courses run at |Xcel in Walton on Thames for the 2 weeks of the Easter holidays (from 2 to 5 April and from 10 to 13 April). In the first week, 5 - 8 year olds will try many different sports, games and challenges. The coach led sessions will include golf, throwminton, volleyball and judo. They can also try basketball, athletics, hockey, football and handball. In the second week, 8 - 13 year olds will do golf, swimming, volleyball and judo. They will also get to play basketball, athletics, hockey, football and handball as well.
If your children would rather do arts and crafts and play games, there are a few spaces available on the 4-day activity scheme available at |Chandlers Field School in West Molesey from 10 to 13 April. With this scheme, children have a choice between organised activities and free play.
If you are keen to keep them busy trying many different activities, there is a variety of one-day workshops available, including a Science Workshop run by the Science Museum Staff on the forces that shape our world on Wednesday 11 April and a 'Glee Mania' dance workshop run by professional dancers on Thursday 12 April, at the end of which children will be putting together a show for the parents who wish to attend.
|Councillor Jan Fuller, portfolio holder for Leisure and Culture, said:"The Shout! Holiday programme is packed full of fun activities designed to engage children to learn new skills, do sports and make new friends. From activity schemes and sports courses, to science workshops and stage performances, there are many low cost activities to choose from!'.
