Cobham Link recently opened its doors to over 60 people at their Open Day. Held within Cobham Centre for the Community, Councillor Ruth Lyon was on hand to meet residents.
Each week Cobham Link provides a place for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities to be creative and get involved with the local community. The Open Day was a great opportunity for visitors to meets members and find out more about the services available.
Activities for the day included a wellbeing tapping class, an animal encounters session and a raffle. With free cake and refreshments available on arrival and a three-course lunch being served, everyone left having been well entertained and fed.
Councillor Ruth Lyon, Social Portfolio Holder for Social Affairs commented: “It was a pleasure to meet everyone and join-in with some of the fun activities offered at Cobham Link. A fantastic day was had by all and I thoroughly enjoyed myself”.
