The newly refurbished Ashley Park car park in Walton-on-Thames is open and available to use for all those visiting and shopping in the town.
As well as a new hard surface making it more user friendly throughout the year, a range of more accessible parking times have been added to reflect the increasing use of this town centre car park. On Saturdays, visitors to Walton-on-Thames can benefit from up to 3 hours free parking in Ashley Park car park, as well as the car parks at Drewitts Court and Manor Road in Walton-on-Thames, which is all part of the Council’s support of our local high streets and businesses.
Councillor Andrew Davis, Portfolio Holder for Highways and Transport is delighted that the Ashley Park car park has been refurbished to offer an improved service to users;
“Investing in our car parks is essential to the infrastructure of Elmbridge. Our high streets and businesses rely on them to bring people into our town centres and so it is important that we make them as user friendly and as flexible as possible. As part of our investment in our car parks there are also planned improvement works to Drewitts Court car park also in Walton-on-Thames.”
