Sports Development Team - What we do?

Elmbridge Borough Council has a Sports Development Team within Leisure and Cultural Services, responsible for the development, delivery and review of the Council's Sports Development Strategy.

We organise and develop, both directly and in partnership with others, a wide range of sporting activities including courses, coaching, local competitions and special events - for example, the hugely popular Surrey Youth Games. The team supports the implementation and delivery of the Active Surrey County Sports Partnership Programme and the delivery of other youth sport development initiatives. They are also available to provide advice and guidance on a variety of issues ranging from club development to funding advice and opportunities to promotion of sport and physical activity in the Borough.
