Facilities and Funding

Facilities
The Sports Development Team works closely with the Leisure Facilities team to increase participation at a number of council owned facilities.
These include:

- |Xcel 3 - Synthetic 3G football pitch
- |The Hurst Swimming Pool
- |Sports Pitches for hire
- |Sport and Recreation Grounds
Funding
The |Sports Development Team helps sports clubs apply and endorse projects or funding applications. The Team also looks to source new funding opportunities as they become available and forward this information onto clubs, coaches, volunteers or participants through Active Elmbridge CSPAN newsletter. |Active Surrey can help with their grant finder application which requires specific idea of a project.

Applying for funding
If you are applying for funding, either as a club, coach, volunteer or participant, get in touch as |we can help! We are able to add value to your application by giving direction and guidance using the |Sport and Physical Activity Strategy 2011 to 2014 to write a project endorsement.
Elmbridge Olympic Legacy Funding - Small Grants
The Elmbridge Olympic Legacy Small Grants Funding is aimed at Sport Clubs in Elmbridge and applications between £250 to £500 for equipment or coach and volunteer development are now being accepted. This second wave of funding is aimed at providing a lasting local legacy and will enable the community to continue enjoying sport after the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. A total of £3000 is available and applications will be considered on a first come first served basis. The application process is very straight forward so download a simple |application form today and be one step closer to that all important sports equipment or coaching course(s).
Sport England - Small Grants
Small grants are available for clubs that are looking for under £10,000 in either revenue or capital spending. This can be for sports equipment, coaching fees for a project or a combination of both capital and revenue. The small grant cannot be used for permanent fixtures and fittings. For help completing a form, endorsement of a project or to learn more, contact the Sports Development Team.
Awards for all
|Awards for All is a simple small grants scheme making awards of between £300 and £10,000. The Awards for All programme aims to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need.
To do this they want to fund projects that meet one or more of the following outcomes:
- People have better chances in life - with better access to training and development to improve their life skills.
- Stronger communities - with more active citizens working together to tackle their problems.
- Improved rural and urban environments - which communities are better able to access and enjoy.
- Healthier and more active people and communities.
- The application form is short and simple. Email us the completed form.
You will find out if you are successful within six weeks.
Elmbridge Sports Council Grants
The |Sports Council give £10,000 in grants annually to sporting individuals and sports clubs. The maximum that can be applied for from an individual is £250. The application process is very straight forward and applications are taken between February and April of each year.
