Tennis For Free

Tennis For Free is a charity working with Elmbridge Borough Council's Leisure and Cultural Services to offer free tennis coaching and tennis equipment.

The coached sessions run at the following courts every Sunday:

10.00 am to 12.00 pm at Elm Grove Recreation Ground, Hersham Road, Walton On Thames, KT12 1LH
1.00 pm to 3.00 pm at Coronation Recreation Ground, Molesey Road, Hersham, KT12 4QZ

Supported by Tennis For Free, who are providing over £1000 worth of tennis equipment and £3500 of coaches fees, the coaching will cover 50 weeks of the year - come rain or shine.

Coaching sessions will include all ages from 5 years old onwards - adults included!

Parents are encouraged to stay at the courts to learn how they can play tennis with their children and perhaps have a bit of a 'knock about' themselves. The Tennis For Free coach and assistant will be there to help you. All equipment and coaching will be provided free.

A national grass roots charity, Tennis For Free aims to provide as much FREE Tennis for the UK population as possible. 'Tennis for Free' is working in partnership with local councils, to improve the quality of public tennis courts and to make them free for use. Elmbridge Borough Council is one of the few to establish this partnership, and have provided courts FREE of Charge since Friday 1 April 2005.
