Are you between 7 and 16 years old and enjoy taking part in sport and competition? Then get involved in the Elmbridge Sports Festival!
Throughout April and May 2009 there will be FREE trials across the Borough to select competitors for the Elmbridge squad in the Surrey Youth Games, which take place in June at various venues in Guildford.
The Surrey Youth Games is an annual event in which boroughs and districts from across the county compete against each other in a wide range of sports including disability sports. 2008 was another great year for Elmbridge, as we came third in the overall borough trophy.
The following sports were included in the 2008 Games as competitive sports: Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Basketball, Girls' Football, Netball, Hockey, Judo, Rugby, Squash and Tennis. This year Futsal, Fencing and Swimming were added to the list of demonstration sports.
