Hiring a Public Open Space for an Event

If you are a potential/new Hirer, we recommend you read the |our guidance online to make you aware of all the requirements, before completing the |online application form.

Please note that this is not for hirings at Stompond Lane, or for hiring Filming Locations or hiring land for Location Filming parking. For enquiries concerning these please contact the |Administration Officer, Hirings, Leisure and Cultural Services Division

Hirers must also be aware of the |Conditions of Use.

If your online enquiry is approved, you will receive an email confirmation linking you to the application form, or if unsuccessful you will be notified with an explanation.

• If you are a previous or regular Hirer, please fill in a |Participation Event Hiring Form

Please note that you will need to submit proof of Public Liability Insurance providing minimum cover of £5,000,000 per incident or occurrence for all activities included in the event hiring.

For certain kinds of equipment, for instance |Amusement Devices (reference ADIPS) and |Inflatables proof of certain current Test Certificates will also need to be submitted.
