|Cobham Recreation Ground has won the title of Queen Elizabeth II Playing field after 296 supporters voted for their favourite local open space,
ahead of the 5 other sites nominated by Elmbridge Borough Council to run in the Challenge (Churchfields, Coronation, Long Ditton and Molesey Hurst Recreation grounds).
The Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge, headed by its Patron The Duke of Cambridge and operated by Fields in Trust, is a fantastic programme to ensure that 2012 outdoor recreational spaces in communities all across the country are kept as a permanent living legacy of both Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
