Elmbridge Borough Council's Leisure and Cultural Services Health Development Team continue to offer Elmbridge schools the opportunity to benefit from healthy eating and physical activity lessons. Through Sport England's Active England funding the lessons are provided free of charge to schools in Elmbridge.

Children Learn about the culinary benefits of salads and get the chance to prepare a 'Salad Caterpillar' and are encouraged to munch their way through every bit.
Pupils develop their own totally tropical fruity salads and learn that fruit can be different and more interesting than the normal apples that they munch on.
Have a good start to the day with a healthy breakfast. This session shows the pupils the benefits of breakfast and provides tasty alternatives to normal cereals.The Smoothie Bike gives thirsty cyclists the opportunity to combine exercise with a delicious healthy smoothie.
The cycist works hard on this pedal powered smoothie maker that combines physical activity with healthy eating where pupils learn about the benefits of exercise and get a tasty reward at the end.
Give your pupils a different PE lesson - based at Brooklands College this interactive sports wall has loads of fun and games and activities to encourage children to get active. Book a free slot for use afterschool.
Pupils take part in fun fitness games using parachutes and space hoppers.
With lessons delivered by qualified staff, school groups can benefit from a wide range of activities from an assembly for the whole school to individual lessons focussing on eating a balanced diet or getting active with games and walking.
All lessons are linked to the National Curriculum and can help schools working towards achieving the Healthy Schools status.
Elmbridge Schools have already benefited from the service, enjoying a variety of healthy eating and physical activities ranging from making smoothies to parachute games.
A box of 'healthy' resources can also available on short-term loan to the school to support health activities.
