Housing Application Form - Required Verification Documents
When an applicant completes a Housing Application form to join the Elmbridge Borough Council Housing Register, verification documentation must be provided to accompany the form.
If an application form is received without the required documentation or the form is incomplete it cannot be fully assessed and the applicant will be unable to bid for properties until this has been provided.
Proof of Identification:
For each applicant and member of the family moving on the application, you must provide
- A full birth certificate
- A driver's licence with photo ID
- A passport
Please note if a member of the application is pregnant we will require any hospital letters or doctors letters to confirm this status.
Proof of Residence for the last three years:
- Official letters or documents showing the addresses you have lived at in the last three years (for example, tenancy agreements)
- Medical cards
- Bank statements
- Letters from your employers
- Council Tax documents
Proof of employment, income and savings:
- A letter from your employers
- A P60 or P45
- A bank or building society statement or book
- Benefit books or proof of benefit claims
- Wage slips
Proof of eligibility If a non UK Citizen:
- A passport
- Travel or immigration documents
- Confirmation that you receive Income Support/JSA/other benefits
- Certificate/card of workers registration scheme
- A National Insurance card or number
