Rented accommodation
Some accommodation is specifically for those over 55 years of age and is referred to as Independent Living Accommodation or sheltered accommodation. There is no on site warden and no element of care is provided.
If you want to be considered for rented retirement housing, you will need to meet the qualifying criteria to join the council’s Housing Register and your application will be assessed in accordance with the allocations policy. For more information see Apply for social housing.
