Contaminated Land Report

Are you buying a property or some land?
Have you considered land contamination?

What is a contaminated land report?

With around 325,000* potentially contaminated land sites in England and Wales, why not check to ensure your new purchase isn't one of them using our 'Contaminated Land Report'.

We now offer a reporting service that provides information regarding potential land contamination issues which may be highlighted as a result of an environmental search during conveyancing.

This information is being compiled on the Council's contaminated land database as part of its duties under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

How much does it cost?

A detailed report on the history of a plot of land, map images and an assessment of the potential contamination risk is available at a standard charge of £120, to cover the first 1½ hours of our time, and £50 for every additional half-hour after that. Most reports don't take longer than 1½ hours to compile.
