Elmbridge Almost Scoops a "Noise Oscar"! - November 2011
Elmbridge Borough Council's Noise Team attended the Noise Abatement Society's prestigious John Connell Awards ceremony - dubbed the "Noise Oscars" - held at the Palace of Westminster on Tuesday 8 November.
The Quiet Mark - coming in December 2011
The Quiet Mark is an initiative from the Noise Abatement Society, which will award a mark of approval to the worldwide manufacturers of the quietest products e.g. your lawn mower, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, washing machine etc.

Noise Action Week Roadshows - May 2011
During Noise Action Week roadshows were hosted throughout the borough to demonstrate the features and benefits of using our new and innovative online toolkit for dealing with noise 24/7, as well as being on hand to answer any noise related questions.
Over 18's attending a roadshow could enter a free competition for the chance to win a stereo, donated by Sony Europe Ltd.
