At Staines Magistrates Court on Wednesday 14 July 2010, Elmbridge Borough Council obtained criminal convictions against a Weybridge resident who |pleaded guilty to three breaches of a Noise Abatement Notice.

 

EBC and EHT sign 'Partnership in Noise' Protocol - July 2010

Scott Baxendale and Tony Deag sign Noise Partnership ProtocolFollowing the April launch of the Partnership in Noise, a protocol document was signed by Elmbridge Borough Council and Elmbridge Housing Trust. This protocol officially forms the partnership between the two and formalises procedures when dealing with noise complaints from Trust properties.

Noise Action Week 2010 - 26-30 April 2010

Image of EBC and EHT partners in noise icon|Noise Action Week is a national campaign to raise awareness about noise issues.

This year |Elmbridge Borough Council and Elmbridge Housing Trust (EHT) formed a partnership and agreed how best to deal with noise disturbance from leaseholder's or tenants living in EHT accommodation. By working more closely on noise matters it is intended that a simpler and more effective service can be provided to those suffering noise nuisance from EHT properties.

To mark this joint venture we held a 'silent disco' in The Heart Centre, Walton-on-Thames.

 

Elmbridge Householder Convicted of Noise Offences - Apr 2010

At Staines Magistrates Court on Wednesday 24 March 2010, Elmbridge Borough Council obtained criminal convictions against a resident of Vicarage Fields, Walton on Thames, who was found guilty of two breaches of a Noise Abatement Notice.

 

Elmbridge Business Proprietor Convicted Of Noise Offences - Oct 2009

At North Surrey (Staines) Magistrates Court on Thursday 15 October 2009, Elmbridge Borough Council obtained a criminal conviction against the proprietor of Latino Steak House and Bar 98 Walton Road East Molesey, Surrey KT8 0DL who pleaded guilty to three breaches of a Noise Abatement Notice. |Read about this and other noise convictions which have appeared in the local press.

Noise Action Week 2009 - Consider Mediation - 18-22 May 2009

Noise Action Week is a national campaign to draw peoples attention to the issues of noise in their community. This year, our message is to consider mediation.

Our partners at |Mediation North Surrey have extensive experience in resolving neighbour disputes - and noise represents a significant part of this. They prepared their own |'top ten tips' to think about when considering your neighbours and we commissioned |a short video by a trained mediator explaining the mediation process.
