Proposed Private Hire/Hackney Carriage Licensing Fees 2010/11

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, Elmbridge Borough Council proposes to set the following |fees in respect of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing for 2010/11. It may be noted that these proposed fee levels show a reduction of around 5% to 6% as compared with the currently applicable fees, and that it is intended to introduce a three-year duration for some of the licences.

At its meeting on 18 January 2010, the Council's Licensing Committee resolved that the fees for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licences proposed for 2010-11 be approved for the purpose of advertisement by public notice during a statutory objection period.

Any objections to the proposed fees must be received in writing (to the address given below), no later than close of business on 4 March 2010.

If no objections are received, the new fees will come into effect on 1 April 2010. In the event of any objection(s) being received, they will be considered by the Licensing Committee on 22 March 2010.
