Under the terms of the above Act, anyone who carries on a business boarding cats or dogs requires a licence from their Local Authority.
The Environmental Health & Licensing Division, in conjunction with a consultant veterinary surgeon, will inspect any premises before granting a licence. Once a licence has been granted annual inspections will be performed prior to the renewal of the licence.
