Healthier Eating Award

Eat out Eat well logoEating out increasingly plays an important part of our lives. A Food Standards Agency survey suggests that healthy eating is an important factor when deciding what food to eat inside and outside of the home.

The 'Eat Out Eat Well' Award was launched by Surrey Trading Standards in partnership with other Surrey Councils, to reward caterers who make it easier for their customers to make healthy choices when eating out.

There are three award levels:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold

These awards are based on the type of food on offer, cooking methods, and how the business promotes healthier options and are assessed and managed by Surrey County Council Trading Standards Service in partnership with the local Environmental Health Service.
