Check out our |recycling A to Z to see if your item can be reused or recycled.
What can be collected?
We collect large and bulky items of household waste such as sofas, beds, fridges and domestic appliances. Collected items will be taken for recycling or safe disposal.
We can collect from anywhere on your property, but ideally items should be left in your front garden for easy access. If you request a collection from inside your property, we will contact you to arrange access. We can't collect clinical waste, building rubble or commercial waste. The charges for this service are shown below.
When will my collection take place?
We aim to collect within seven working days of receiving your request and payment. Your collection will take place during the day from 7am onwards, therefore it is important that there is access for collection.
Charges for a special collection
Please note a bed base and mattress are counted as two items.
C = concessionary charges: available if you have council tax benefit (excluding council tax discounts) or housing benefit. We need to see copies of your payment book or letter of entitlement to qualify for concessionary charges.
A next day collection is available at an additional charge of £41. This is only available via telephone bookings: 01372 474 775.
Use our |online form to arrange a special collection or |download a copy of the form to print off and return in the post.
