Street Smart

Street Smart are a dedicated team who aim to maintain and improve the appearance of the towns, villages and streets throughout the borough. They are responsible for refurbishing street furniture such as Council owned bus shelters, benches, bins and bollards to keep the outward appearance of our borough at the high standard we expect. They also cut back vegetation in specified areas in order to keep the borough looking tidy.

When undertaking work in a particular area, the Street Smart crew will leave cards in nearby shops and homes to advise that they will be commencing work. When the crew reach your area you can tell them about something that needs attention when you see them out and about. If they can't fix it, they'll make sure it gets reported to someone who can.

The Street Smart crew are busy completing work throughout the whole of the borough, however, over the coming months they will be targeting every town and village centre to carry out improvements and generally tidy-up.
