Refuse Collection Services

Every fortnight, we collect your waste from a wheeled bin. This is on the alternate week to your recycling collection. Please recycle as much of your household waste as possible as nearly everything put into the refuse bin goes to landfill.

Each household should have:

  • A green wheelie bin

What can go in my rubbish bin?

Nearly everything that is thrown into your refuse bin goes to landfill so please make sure that it's not something that could be recycled or composted.

Nappies

Nappies can be double bagged and placed in your refuse bin. To avoid throwing away nappies why not consider using 'Real Nappies' which are better for the environment as well as being more cost effective. Surrey County Council have teamed up with Go Real and are providing free Information Packs and Trial Kits for anyone who is interested.

Top Tips

  • Try to avoid using bin liners, as it will save space and money
  • If you have |large or bulky items to be collected, there are a couple of options for you to consider
