Additional Services
The Council provides two additional services to our waste collection service to aid residents in disposing of their waste.
Assisted Collection
We provide an assisted collection service free of charge for residents who have difficulty moving their bins to their collection point. Our contractor will come onto your property to collect your bin, empty it and then return it.
If you don't wish to use our assisted collection service but need help, here are some suggested alternatives:
Ask a friend, relative or neighbour help you
Purchase a smaller bin which you can move more easily
Leave your bin at the collection point and put bags of refuse in when necessary

Clinical Waste Collection
Elmbridge Borough Council provides a free clinical waste collection service from any domestic household within the Elmbridge area.
Our contractors collect clinical waste in yellow sacks or, in the case of sharps and needles, in a yellow sharps box. The yellow clinical waste sacks and boxes are supplied free of charge and are delivered to customers before or upon collection. Our clinical waste service can be scheduled for a regular collection or as a one-off. Our contractors start their collections very early and discreetly collect clinical waste from an agreed location outside the resident's property.
If you would like to arrange a clinical waste collection or have any further enquiries regarding this service, please contact the |Environmental Care team.
More information on clinical waste can be found online at |Surrey County Council's Clinical Waste pages.
