Safer Car Parks

Park MarkAll of our 28 public pay and display car parks have now achieved the Park MarkŪ Safer Parking Scheme Award. These have been vetted by the Police to ensure that we have measures in place to create a safer environment for both you and your vehicle.

The Safer Parking Scheme is an initiative of the Associations of Chief Police Officers aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities.

Safer parking status, Park MarkŪ, is awarded to parking facilities that have met the requirements through an assessment by the Police and the British Parking Association.

The assessment requires us to put in place measures that help to deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour, thereby doing everything we can to prevent crime and reduce the fear of crime.

  • Quality management
  • Appropriate lighting
  • Effective surveillance
  • Clean environment
