Flying the Flag for Business

Rachael Lake Flying the Flag for BusinessElmbridge businesses held a very successful conference on the 2012 job opportunities. The conference was well attended and valued by those there. Local businesses have been successful in bidding for sub-contract work since the conference!

There has been a Partnership conference 'Making the Most of 2012' held in March 2011 at Sandown Park, 300 delegates attended and all welcomed the news that Elmbridge would be hosting the first day Olympics, the Cycle Race, since them we are now aware that the Time Trials will also pass through our Borough, in fact right through our ward, Walton.

Rachael Working on Drug Awareness

Rachael Lake Supporting Drugs Awareness I was delighted to attend the Drugs Destroy Communities Road Show in Walton. This unit visits all main areas of Elmbridge. Drug use in Elmbridge, along with Alcohol, is a problem in minority groups and we need to be aware of this. Work in this area is well worth doing. I am a member of the Elmbridge Community Partnership and all partners feel strongly on this issue.
