The Cobham Recreation Ground was taken back into the Council's control in March 2010. Since then the area has been substantially upgraded and the tennis courts in particular brought up to a fine standard. It was officially re-opened on 2nd June 2011 by Cllr John Sheldon, the Mayor of Elmbridge. Plenty of fun and games were laid on for local children.

The War Memorial on the Tilt, Cobham, unveiled on 26th April 2009 by the Mayor of Elmbridge, Cllr Nigel Cooper. This was a joint achievement by the Cobham Conservation & Heritage Trust (which provided the stone) and Elmbridge Borough Counci (which planted a number of cherry trees to replace those which had died).
