Councillor Crowther is a Liberal Democrat Member for the Weybridge North Ward. He was first elected in 1999.

He is currently vice -chairman of the community affairs overview and scrutiny committee and serves on the planning committee. He is a member of the west area planning sub-committee, the countryside consultative group and the staff advisory group. He serves on the trustee board of the Walton and Weybridge Citizens Advice Bureau and as a SLGA nominated member he is vice-chairman of the Supporting People Commissioning Body.

Tim Crowther has lived in Weybridge for over thirty years. Prior to retirement he was board secretary of a government property agency.

His main interest lie in envirnmental issues, He was a leading memebr of the Weybridge Society for many yaers and was a founder member and secretary of the influential green belt pressure group Evergreen. He is currenly an executive committee member of the |Open Spaces Society.
