Heritage Day 2008 |
 | National Heritage Day (13/9) at Walton Wharf was a great success. Walton Local Conservatives listened to residents last year when they asked for someone to add food and drinks to their stand. Rachael Lake along with fellow Walton Councillors responded by serving, tea, coffee, hot sausages and bacon rolls! The group made a donation to the Mayors Charity. Rachael, a trustee of the Charity of Robert Phillips who sponsored Heritage Day by funding the Band, is always very supportive to this Walton Event along with other councilors. |
Rachael Shows Visitors around CCTV |

Walton Councillors Hold Monthly Surgeries |
 | Conservative Councilors Surgeries moved to the Walton Library in June. Rachael commented on the new venue "The Walton Library as a venue for our Surgeries has proved extremely popular and I have attended all surgeries since then. The Surgeries are to listen to residents concerns, however to hear views about how Walton is developing is most helpful in my council work. We are there to listen and where possible act." |
Rachael Working on Drug Awareness |
 | "As the Portfolio Holder for Community Development, which covers Crime & Disorder, I was delighted to attend the Drugs Destroy Communities Road Show in Walton recently. This unit visits all main areas of Elmbridge. Drug use in Elmbridge, along with Alcohol, is a problem in minority groups and we need to be aware of this. Work in this area is well worth doing. I am a member of the Elmbridge Community Partnership and all partners feel strongly on this issue". |
