Councillor Sadler is a Walton Society Member and Walton Central Ward Councillor.

He is also the Leader of the Residents Group and Chairman of the Environmental Affairs Overview & Scrutiny Committee 2007/08.

He is a member of the North Area Planning Sub-Committee, which deals with planning applications in Walton, Hersham and Molesey.

He is a member of the SCC Elmbridge Local Committee.

He is a member of the Appointments Sub-Committee.

He is also a member of the Improving Recycling and Composting Task Group, the Affordable Housing Member Panel, the Standing Finance Panel, and the Walton Town Centre Advisory Group.

Outside the Council, he is Chairman of the Trustees of Walton-on-Thames Charity, and a Trustee and Treasurer of Walton-on-Thames Community Arts Trust, the charity which oversees the operation of the Riverhouse Community Arts Centre, Manor Road, Walton. He is also one of the joint organisers of the Walton Heritage Day events which take place at Walton Wharf on the second Saturday of each September. The next event is September 12th 2009.
