We have produced a leaflet detailing charities offering low cost furniture, aimed at people on benefits or low income. These organisations also accept good quality second hand furniture that can be offered for sale. Message in a Bottle
This is a scheme designed to encourage people living on their own to keep their basic personal and medical details in a common location where it can be easily found in an emergency. Elmbridge Borough Council together with Woking Lions Club have adopted the idea and are supplying bottles to anyone who needs them throughout the area. Supplies of bottles and forms are available from Elmbridge Borough Council |Centres for the Community. Elmbridge Borough Council is pleased to support this scheme which provides a valuable additional safeguard for local residents in the event of a medical emergency. Gardening Service
MDHS and Elmbridge Borough Council offers a gardening service, which is managed by MDHS Household Services, to tidy and maintain gardens of people living in the borough of Elmbridge. This service is for older people and/or people with disability who are finding it difficult to maintain a tidy garden. There is an hourly rate for this service.
All new customers will receive a Gardening Service Pack with an application form and information on the scheme as well as useful consumer information provided by Surrey Trading Standards. |Please contact Community Support Services to request a pack, or you can download the individual documents in the pack below.
