Hire-a-Bus is a cost effective way of arranging half and all-day outings using a wheelchair accessible minibus. The buses are only for hire by the Centres for Retired People, Clubs and other non-profit making organisations within the Borough of Elmbridge. Individuals with a mobility impairment requiring transport should use our |Dial-a-Ride service for travel in and around Elmbridge.

Hire-a-Bus has become a firm favourite with many of Elmbridge's clubs and organisations to take them on special outings and can be booked for up to 16 ambulant passengers. Seats can be removed to convey wheelchair-seated passengers.

Costs vary depending on the time and distance of travel. For example, a weekday outing travelling up to a total of 30 miles and lasting up to 6 hours costs just £60.00.
